The Royal Emissary

Backstory

Bibbitt was an everyday, 100k, tech industry guy, working in the city of San Tribobpoli. One day, while walking back to the office from lunch, Bibbitt noticed an unusual peach pit sitting discarded beside the trash can. Upon picking it up, he was shown a vision of the interwoven lattice of Heaven. Thousands of angels along interlocking castle walls. Turrets and towers furnished like offices. Then all everything dark. Out of that darkness floated a single angel. A blue ringed octopus who conferred to Bibbitt his higher purpose.

Bibbitt became a local priest for this new vision of heaven, losing his job and taking his sermons to the street corner. He made himself special vestments for his sermons and would begin at the same time every morning and end at the same time every night. Soon he had become a local legend.

At the point that he had even become famous around the world, local businesses began subsidizing his efforts, sowing him more prestigious attire, finding him housing, and building an outdoors pulpit at his most frequented street corner.
